Members,

According to tim murphy there will not be equiptment inspections necessary during the last two years of this three year contract, only if you upgrade your truck will one of the inspectors with an mou have to re-inspect your equiptment.otherwise if the equiptment remains the same then you will have the regular inspection when you are dispatched to an incident and that will be the only one required.you will have to update eatis and have all personel quals, including task books and proof of pack test/ FLS for new crewmembers for the 08, and 09 inspections[don't know yet wheather this will be done by mail or if they will come to our dispatch centers] , people already in eatis from previous years will have to have proof of pack test/FLS and one incident they were on the year befor[on the back of our red cards is the section for currency updating, be sure and get your red card signed on one fire per year] , along these same lines, since there are minimal inspections for the remainder of the three year contract NRCG will not need any more equiptment inspectors, according to murphy they have more then enough. I had hoped that some of the BWCA members could get togeather next year and sub-contract under our mou # but it probably won't work out that way.have a safe fire season.

Jay Rasmussen, pres. BWCA.
